16-01-11 Something fun. Here's a little hamidashi tsuba that a client wanted cleaned up. As you can see, there isn't a patina as such, just some random oxidation resulting in some encrustation around the top. There were some hard decisions to make on this, given how scratched and banged up the plate was - but I think a good balance has been struck.
16-01-11 And the finished tsuba. That blurry "line" at the top that seems to create a dark and light area is actually the reflection of my camera - the polish is very fine. A straightforward piece to work on, and the client is happy (always a good thing).
